Chelsea defender Malang Sarr joined the club last summer on a free transfer from Nice.

The 22-year-old headed out to Porto immediately after signing up for the club, and he has admitted that he had a good time at the Estadio do Dragao.

Sarr has now revealed how he was helped by Porto and Chelsea legend Paulo Ferreira. Ferreira is currently working as a Chelsea loan player technical coach, and Sarr admits Ferreira helped him a lot.

“He was really kind with me, he was talking to me almost every day, trying to get news, asking for feedback, checking everything was going well,” says Sarr.

“I felt really good at Porto and the main reason was because of him. He was taking care of me. He gave me some little tricks with the language as well!”

Chelsea is more than just a football club to me; it's a passion I share, and my affinity with the Chelsea badge is one that will last forever. As far as watching my favourite team is concerned, I'd rather miss a meal than miss a Chelsea game.
