Former England manager Fabio Capello has admitted he was wrong about Blues midfielder Jorginho.
Speaking to Corriere Dello Sport, Capello said the 29-year-old is an important part of the Italian national team after a series of impressive performances.
“Jorginho, he’s Mancini’s main man,” Capello said about the Chelsea midfielder.
“He was a player who didn’t convince me completely. But in matches I saw him live, I watched carefully.”
“He is a midfielder who knows how to stay on the field and direct the team,” Capello added.
“The fact that Italy don’t concede many goals is due to his ability to intervene at the right time in the actions of the opponents.”
