With Spanish side Barcelona keen on reducing their bloated wage bill, Miralem Pjanic was offered the chance to leave Barcelona as a free agent this summer amid interest from Chelsea and Juventus.
Pjanic joined Barcelona from Juventus last summer but struggled to make an impact at Barcelona.
According to reports, Barcelona boss Ronald Koeman doesn’t see the midfielder as part of his plans for next season.
Pjanic has now reportedly made a decision on his Barcelona decision after being offered the chance to leave as a free agent this summer.
According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, Pjanic has rejected the chance to leave Barcelona as a free agent despite interest from Chelsea and Juventus.
Romano tweeted: “Barcelona offered Pjanic the chance to leave the club by mutual consent in the last few days, but he refused.”
Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel is an admirer of the former Juventus midfielder and would love to bring him to Chelsea this summer.
