Chelsea left-back Emerson Palmieri is among the set of players that will most likely leave the club this summer.
The 26-year-old Italy international has been unable to break into the Chelsea team since signing from Roma in 2017.
Emerson is in the final year of his contract with Chelsea, and it’s most certain that the Blues will want to cash out on him this summer rather than lose him for free next year.
According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Emerson has already had a verbal agreement with Napoli boss Luciano Spalletti over a potential summer move.
New Napoli coach Luciano Spalletti knows all about Emerson from their time together at Roma and is keen on bringing the 26 year old to Napoli.
Emerson is valued at around £13million by the Blues but Napoli are hoping to knock that down to £10m.
Napoli, Inter Milan, and his former club, AS Roma are monitoring the Italy international’s situation, and Napoli is looking the more likely destination for him.
Meanwhile, when Emerson was asked about his future, he insisted that he’s only focused on the European Championship.
“For many months we have been talking about the market, about my return to Italy. Now I don’t even want to think about it,” Emerson told Italian media.
“Really, I don’t care: I live in the present, play the European Championship and do everything to win it.”
