Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano had confirmed that Chelsea have agreed personal terms with Sevilla defender Jules Kounde.

Chelsea have agreed a contract with the Frenchman that runs until 2026 and are in advanced talks with Sevilla regarding a transfer fee.

The deal is expected to be closed out in the coming days, and Sevilla are now making their own move to replace their star defender.

According to Sport Bild, the Spanish side have made contact with former Bayern Munich defender Jerome Boateng.

Boateng is currently a free agent, following the expiration of his Bayern contract earlier this month.

Boateng had been linked with a move to Chelsea in the past, but nothing concrete ever came out of it.

As for 22-year-old Kounde, his long-term future may be at Stamford Bridge as he’s currently developing into a top class defender and also has age on his side.
