Olivier Giroud has completed a €2million move to Italian side AC Milan after three-and-a-half years at Chelsea.
The Frenchman’s move to Italy’s Serie A brings to an end his three-and-half-year stay at Stamford Bridge following a deadline day transfer from Arsenal in January 2018.
During his time at Chelsea, Giroud won the FA Cup, Europa League and Champions League, scoring in the semi-final of the FA Cup, the final of the Europa League, and netting the 2020/21 Chelsea Goal of the Season last season in the Champions League victory over Atletico Madrid.
Chelsea defender Fikayo Tomori who has since sealed a €28m move to AC Milan on a permanent basis, has welcomed Giroud at Milan and spoken highly of the 34-year-old striker.
Tomori believes Giroud will be of immense help to AC Milan.
In an interview with Corriere Dello Sport, Tomori said: “A very kind person as well as a great forward. He has immense experience, he has played in great teams, always scoring a lot and above all winning a lot. He will help us.”
