Andreas Christensen has been a beast for Denmark in the Euro 2020 championship, both at the back and even going forward.
The 25-year-old was used in midfield in their round of 16 clash against Wales, and he starred in that position as the Danes won 4-0.
Playing Russia was the highlight for Christensen as he marked his first goal for his country with a stunning short from way out.
Christensen has now revealed that Chelsea midfielder Mason Mount messaged him following his long-range effort against Russia.
The Dane said that he receieved a message from his Chelsea teammate asking why he doesn’t score goals like the fabulous strike at Euro 2020 for his club.
Even Mason Mount would be proud of that goal.
Explaining how he was able to score the goal, the Chelsea man said: “I don’t think the keeper could see anything because he didn’t really manage to react.
“I was just trying to keep the ball down and it worked so it looks really good! Of course, I’m incredibly happy with the goal and happy that I could contribute to the team’s victory.”
