Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel has prioritised signing a centre-back this summer, with Jules Kounde Chelsea’s top target.
With the Blues pushing to sign the Sevilla defender, Tuchel has given Chelsea director Marina Granovskaia the greenlight to sell Chelsea defender Kurt Zouma.
According to The Athletic, while Tuchel agrees Zouma has proven himself in the air at both ends of the pitch, he has concerns over Zouma’s ability to play out from the back.
West Ham are interested in signing the Chelsea defender for £20million but the Blues believe Zouma is worth more.
With two years left on his contract and heading into his prime, Granovskaia thinks now is the perfect time to sell Zouma, particularly with him not being an essential part of Tuchel’s plans.
