Chelsea have confirmed the departure of strikers Olivier Giroud and Tammy Abraham from the squad, and the next striker that’s set for an exit is Michy Batshuayi.
The Belgian who has had loan spells twice with Crystal Palace and also with Borussia Dortmund and Valencia is now set for a move to Turkey.
Batshuayi recently posted a photo of himself on twitter summoning a black eagle. This is in reference to the nickname of Turkish giants Besiktas, with the striker now on the verge of a move to Vodafone Park.
According to Sky Sports, Batshuayi is set to join the Turkish Süper Lig champions on a season-long loan.
Batshuayi arrived in Istanbul on Monday night, and according to reports the Besiktas fans were glad to see him.
The 27-year-old was given a hero’s welcome from Besiktas fans who were waiting for him at the Istanbul airport.
Since arriving at Chelsea from Marseille for £33m in the summer of 2016, Batshuayi has scored 25 goals in 77 appearances for the Blues. However, he has never really gotten a run of games in the Chelsea first team.
