Chelsea have confirmed that youngster Armando Broja will spend the 2021/22 season on loan in the Premier League after completing a move to Southampton.

Broja is highly rated at the club and will now have the opportunity to play first team football in the Premier League for the first time.

Broja who has grown through the Chelsea Academy ranks since signing at the age of nine will be playing for the Saints next season, with Romelu Lukaku set to sign for Chelsea.

The 19-year-old impressed on loan at Vitesse Arnhem last season with 11 goals in 34 appearances as he helped the Dutch side to a fourth-place finish in the Eredivisie and the KNVB Cup final.

There were hopes that Broja will remain with the Chelsea first team having impressed Thomas Tuchel in pre-season, but it was dependent on whether Chelsea signed a striker.

Broja has already committed his future to the club with a five year deal, showing how much faith the club has in him.

Broja made his Premier League debut in under Frank Lampard two seasons ago as he came off the bench in the 4-0 win over Everton. The young striker already has six caps for Albania.
