It was an eventful evening in the 2021/22 UEFA Champions League group stage draw ceremony which was conducted in Istanbul.

The draws were quite favourable for Chelsea, as the Blues were drawn in Group H, and will face former Ballon d’Or winner Cristiano Ronaldo, with Juventus also being drawn in the group. Russian side Zenit St Petersburg and Swedish side Malmo complete the group H.

However, it’s Manchester City’s group that is the group of death for this year’s Champions League battle.

City have been drawn in the Group A with PSG and RB Leipzig, with Belgian side Club Brugge completing the group.

Group B is another dicey group that has so many football powerhouses. Atletico Madrid, Liverpool, Porto and AC Milan were all drawn in the Group B, and this could as well be termed the group of death as all four teams are traditional top sides with a reputation for reaching the knockout stage of the Champions League.

Chelsea is more than just a football club to me; it's a passion I share, and my affinity with the Chelsea badge is one that will last forever. As far as watching my favourite team is concerned, I'd rather miss a meal than miss a Chelsea game.
