Chelsea have confirmed that Michy Batshuayi has extended his contract with the club until 2023 and has headed out on loan to Besiktas until the end of the season.
Batshuayi arrived in Istanbul on Monday night, and the 27-year-old was given a hero’s welcome from Besiktas fans who were waiting for him at the Istanbul airport.
Batshuayi will now spend the rest of the season with Besiktas as he aims to get more regular playing time.
Since arriving at Chelsea from Marseille for £33m in the summer of 2016, Batshuayi has scored 25 goals in 77 appearances for the Blues.
Batshuayi has had loan spells with Borussia Dortmund, Valencia and two loan spells with Crystal Palace.
