Chelsea left-back Baba Rahman has extended his contract with Chelsea and has moved on loan to Championship side Reading on a season-long loan deal.

Baba Rahman is set to get his career back on track after signing up for the club from German side Augsburg in the summer of 2015.

The 27-year-old made 23 appearances in his debut season at the club, and the highlight of his performance was in the Champions League knockout round against Paris Saint-Germain.

While on loan with Bundesliga side Schalke, Rahman was having a good time on loan before suffering a cruciate ligament knee injury at the 2016 Africa Cup of Nations which kept him out of action for a year.

Rahman has further had loan spells with Reims, Real Mallorca and PAOK, as he has been working to get back to his best form.

Rahman has a contract with Chelsea until 2024, and we wish him well.

Chelsea is more than just a football club to me; it's a passion I share, and my affinity with the Chelsea badge is one that will last forever. As far as watching my favourite team is concerned, I'd rather miss a meal than miss a Chelsea game.
