Chelsea legend Pat Nevin has sent a farewell message to Kurt Zouma after his move to West Ham.

West Ham completed the £29.8 million signing of Kurt Zouma from Chelsea on Saturday, and former Blue Pat Nevin has hailed the Frenchman for always giving his best while at the club.

Nevin wrote for the official club website: “Another defender, Kurt Zouma, has left after sterling service and lengthy periods when he was considered as a first-choice in that defence.

“We wish him the best (except when he comes back to the Bridge) and thank him for his efforts. He never gave less than 100 per cent but sometimes even that is not enough in the rarefied surroundings of the current Chelsea squad.”

Chelsea legend Didier Drogba also sent out a message to Zouma as he sealed a permanent move to West Ham.

Reacting to Zouma’s transfer to West Ham, Drogba tweeted: “Kurt Zouma Happy Winner.

“Thank you, son, for keeping the blue flag flying higher.”
