According to Italian media outlet Calcio Mercato via Goal, Italian champions Inter Milan are still keen on signing Chelsea full-back Marcos Alonso.
The Italian champions have long been linked with the 30-year-old, whose current contract at Stamford Bridge is due to expire in 2023.
Inter Milan are ready to formalise their interest in Alonso, but must first sell players in order to fund a €20 million (£17m/$24m) swoop.
Meanwhile, Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel dropped Alonso from the squad for the game against Arsenal following Chelsea’s decision to use the Spaniard in a potential swap deal for Sevilla centre-back Jules Kounde.
The Blues are currently in talks with Sevilla to sign Kounde and have reportedly offered Alonso as part of the deal.
