According to reliable transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, Sevilla centre-back Jules Kounde has agreed personal terms with Chelsea.
“I would say yes because Chelsea are really really pushing for Jules Kounde,” Fabrizio Romano told Sky Sports when asked if he can see the Blues signing the Sevilla centre-back.
“Tottenham wanted the player, they had an agreement in place with Sevilla but the player wants to play the Champions League football and that’s why Chelsea are now absolutely leading the race.
“They are now the frontrunners for Kounde and he now has an agreement on personal terms with Chelsea.
“It’s a matter of days to understand if Sevilla accept the proposal from Chelsea. They offer around €30-35m and Kurt Zouma as a part of the deal, Sevilla want more than this – around €40-45m plus Kourt Zouma.
“We’ll see if they can find an agreement with Zouma or without the player or just including money. They are negotiating on this but he’s the priority now for Chelsea as a centre-back and I think they will try and try again this week because also Kounde wants to join Chelsea.”
