One of Chelsea’s biggest problems last season was scoring goals.

Chelsea’s highest scorers in the Premier League last season were Jorginho (7), Tammy Abraham, Timo Werner and Mason Mount all scored 6 goals.

Timo Werner missed so many goalscoring chances but assisted and created the most goals for Chelsea last season.

For Tammy Abraham, he scored 16 Premier League goals two seasons ago but couldn’t score much last season as he lost his place in the team under Thomas Tuchel.

Manchester United legend Rio Ferdinand has backed incoming striker Romelu Lukaku to bang in the goals this season for Chelsea and believes that the Belgian would convert those chances missed by Werner.

Ferdinand said on FIVE YouTube channel: “If he gets the chances that Timo Werner got last year, he bangs 30-35 goals, it’s as simple as that. I think Werner will still be vital for them with how he runs off the ball and creates space.

“Chelsea have heavy artillery up front now, a real mix of talent, all different type of players, a real good blend. Lukaku going there makes them an absolute threat to win the title. They could win it.”
