Romelu Lukaku had the perfect debut as he scored Chelsea’s opener in the 2-0 victory over Arsenal at Emirates on Sunday.
Lukaku tapped into an empty net from a Reece James’ cross with the 28 year old striker playing a major role in the build-up to the goal.
Late in the second half, Lukaku powered a header towards the Arsenal goal from close-range but Arsenal goalkeeper Bernd Leno pulled off the most remarkable reflex save to deny him.
Lukaku couldn’t believe the Arsenal goals saved his header as he was convinced he had scored his second.
After the ball bounced off the bar and away from danger, Lukaku asked: “Did he save it?”
Next up for Chelsea is a trip to Anfield to play Liverpool and Chelsea fans would be hoping for the same from Lukaku against Liverpool.
