Chelsea have had issues with strikers over the years as the club hasn’t really had a top forward since the era of Didier Drogba and Diego Costa.
Chelsea have gone ahead to spend big bucks in bringing back former Blue Romelu Lukaku to the Bridge, and Chelsea had to break the club’s transfer record in the process.
Lukaku had revealed upon his return to the club that he was hungry to succeed, and it didn’t take long for him to open his account for the Blues with a debut goal against Arsenal.
Chelsea right wing-back Reece James was pleased with the performance of his new teammate and watched on as he bullied the Arsenal defence.
James assisted Lukaku for the first goal before scoring shortly after, and he admitted after the game that he hasn’t seen a player like Lukaku.
“What an addition to our team to have such a vocal striker like that,” James told Premier League Productions.
“Everyone’s seen today how powerful he is and when he gets a chance he finishes.
“I think he’s shown how he bullies players today.
“I can’t really think of any other players like him in the world. How strong he is and how powerful, everyone he just comes up against he bullies.”
