This summer is looking to be a summer of comebacks. Chelsea first started it by re-signing Romelu Lukaku from Inter Milan, as the club beat its own club record fee to sign back the Belgian after 10 years.
Manchester United then followed suit by signing back their club legend Cristiano Ronaldo from Italian side Juventus, having left the club 12 years ago.
Chelsea now have an opportunity for another famous ‘come home’ signing, with Real Madrid willing to sell former Chelsea star Eden Hazard.
According to reports, the Blancos are planning to trim down their squad to make room for PSG star Kylian Mbappe.
Hazard was supposed to be their superstar signing, after spending almost £100m on his transfer, but the Belgian has failed to impress in two seasons with the Los Blancos.
Reports now claim Real Madrid are ready to cut their losses on Hazard and clear off his wage bill to make room for Mbappe.
According to Goal, Real Madrid will try to offload one of Hazard, Marco Asensio or Rodrygo if they complete a final deal for Mbappe, and the Spanish giants have already made Gareth Bale, Luka Jovic and Mariano Diaz available for transfer earlier in the summer.
Should Chelsea go back for Hazard?
