Romelu Lukaku is back at Chelsea, as the Belgian returned for the second time to Stamford Bridge, and this time for a club record fee.

Lukaku will be pleased with the performance of his new teammates as they beat Crystal Palace 3-0 in our opening game of the season.

Goals from Marcos Alonso, Christian Pulisic and Trevoh Chalobah sealed the three points for Chelsea. However, it was Chalobah’s goal that got to Romelu Lukaku.

Trevoh scored a fine goal for Chelsea as his strike from 25 yards hit the inside post and went into the net.

The 22-year-old, who joined Chelsea’s youth setup 14 years ago was emotional after his goal. It was a dream come true for him as he has had to wait very patiently for a chance in the senior side after loan spells at Huddersfield, Ipswich and French club Lorient. He only just made his Chelsea debut in the Super Cup, and now got a goal on his Premier League debut.

Lukaku has revealed that his closeness to Trevoh’s older brother Nathaniel made him emotional after the goal.

“I was speaking with Nate the other day after his brother scored,” Lukaku told Chelsea’s in-house media team in a video released on Monday.

“I got so emotional when his brother scored man. It got to me.

“Because Nate, his older brother, really embraced me when I came [in 2011] because we are like one year apart and he really took his time to show me around London and stuff.

“When his brother scored, it was too much.”
