Chelsea youngster Armando Broja started his Southampton loan spell with a cracker as he scored a brace in his side’s 8-0 thrashing of League Two club Newport County in the Carabao Cup.

The 19-year-old moved to Southampton for a season-long loan, and his first game was against League Two club Newport County in the Carabao Cup. The teenage striker netted in each half before coming off in the 65th minute.

Southampton fans were indeed impressed with his performance and has asked the club to make his deal permanent.

Broja was to stay at Stamford Bridge this season having impressed Thomas Tuchel in pre-season, but the club’s signing of Romelu Lukaku meant he needed to hone his talents away on loan.
