Erling Haaland is now recognised as one of the best strikers in the world with his amazing goal record since moving to Borussia Dortmund last year.
The 20-year-old is highly sought after, as he is wanted by all of Europe’s biggest clubs. However, it was only Chelsea who made the move for him this summer.
The Blues tried to move ahead of rivals and sign Haaland for over £100m, with his release clause of £65m to be triggered from next summer.
Chelsea were frustrated out of a move for Haaland, and reports have now claimed that Haaland’s agent Mino Raiola made massive demands for Haaland.
According to a report by Bild, Raiola demanded his client be made the best paid player in the world with wages of around £820,000-a-week, which would make his annual earnings to be around £42m.
Besides demanding massive wages for Erling Haaland, Raiola also reportedly demanded that he be paid around £40m for his agent fees.
With Chelsea’s signing of Romelu Lukaku, we are rest assured that the Belgian will deliver, and in reality, the Blues have saved so much in signing Lukaku when compared to the extravagant demands of Haaland and his superstar agent.
