With the Blues leading Liverpool 1-0, referee Anthony Taylor controversially sent off Reece James and gave Liverpool a penalty just before half-time.
Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel revealed after the game against Liverpool that he can’t praise his players enough for their resilience against Liverpool.
Tuchel said: “I can’t praise my team enough for their resilience; I don’t know if there are any harder stadiums in the world than City and Anfield to go one man down with their quality and energy and pushing. The resilience and team work was fantastic.”
