Federico Pastorello, an agent close to Antonio Conte, has rubbished rumours that Arsenal have reached agreement in place with the former Chelsea boss to become their new boss.
Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta is under pressure following Arsenal’s poor start to the season which has seen them lose all their Premier League games this season.
Arsenal are bottom of the league after failing to score any goal in the league and losing all three of the league games so far this season.
According to media outlet Todo Fichajes, Arsenal contacted Conte after their 2-0 defeat at home to Chelsea last month with a view to him taking charge in October.
However, football agent Pastorello – who represents the likes of Romelu Lukaku, Antonio Candreva and Joao Mario – has poured cold water on these rumours, telling reporter Freddie Paxton that they are ‘absolutely not true’.
