Thomas Tuchel has inherited a good team at Chelsea, and the inclusion of Romelu Lukaku was just the icing on the cake.

The Blues boss has often hailed the depth in the team and rotates his team accordingly for each game.

Chelsea play Tottenham away at the Tottenham Stadium on Sunday, and the Blues are favourites for this game.

Arsenal legend Paul Merson has hailed the quality of the Chelsea team and even claims that the players on the Chelsea bench can make it into the Tottenham first eleven.

“Chelsea will have a bench full of players Tottenham would kill for this weekend,” Merson wrote in a column for the Daily Star.

“You look at the subs Chelsea had against Aston Villa the other week – Cesar Azpilicueta, Jorginho, Timo Werner, Mason Mount, Ben Chilwell.

“They would all get in the Spurs team. N’Golo Kante and Christian Pulisic weren’t even in the Chelsea squad. If you were Tottenham you would take every single one of those players.

“They are a million miles away from competing with Chelsea for trophies this season.”
