German champions Bayern Munich are the latest club to have registered an interest in Chelsea defender Antonio Rudiger, according to Goal.
The report claims Bayern Munich have been in touch with Rudiger’s agent and brother, Sahr Senesie, but the talks are purely preliminary at this stage.
Rudiger, 28, has less than a year left on his Chelsea contract and has been attracting interest from clubs like Paris Saint-Germain and Real Madrid as he can be signed for free if he doesn’t extend his Chelsea contract.
Rudiger is happy to stay at Chelsea but the German international reportedly wants a contract in excess of £200,000 a week to extend his Chelsea contract.
Rudiger is aware that, given his age, his next contract may well be his final big-money deal. Interest from top club’s in Europe and his key position in Thomas Tuchel’s squad has put in a strong negotiating position with Chelsea.
