Manchester City beat Chelsea 1-0 at Stamford Bridge on Saturday afternoon as Pep Guardiola beat Thomas Tuchel’s Chelsea for the first time.

Guardiola revealed after the game that their secret to the victory at Stamford Bridge was stopping Chelsea from playing out of the game.

Chelsea were unable to beat Manchester City’s high press which resulted in the Blues failing to be dangerous in attack, especially in the first half.

“We come here and play our game,” Guardiola said.

“Sometimes we cannot do it because the opponent is better but we had courage to press high and they could not make the build-up where they are usually masters.”
