According to Daily Express via TribalFootball, Chelsea are considering AC Milan midfielder Franck Kessie as a replacement for Jorginho.
The Ivorian international was signed by the Italian giants from Atalanta in the summer of 2017 and has become an important player for AC Milan.
Kessie has less than a year left on his AC Milan contract and has so far failed to reach an agreement with the Italian club.
Chelsea reportedly hope to sign Kessie as a free agent at the end of the season and are willing to pay the midfielder £6.9m a year.
The Blues see Kessie as an ideal midfield partner for N’Golo Kante should Jorginho leave the club.
Jorginho’s agent recently spoke about the midfielder’s desire to return to the Serie A.
Kessiescored an incredible 13 goals (11 of them penalties, it must be noted) from 37 games in Serie A last season.
French giants PSG and Premier League rivals Liverpool are also interested in the AC Milan midfielder.
