Chelsea centre-back Antonio Rudiger has revealed Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel tried to sign him while he was in charge of French giants Paris Saint-Germain.
Rudiger wasn’t favourite under then Chelsea boss Frank Lampard but he has become an integral part of the Blues since Tuchel became Chelsea boss.
Tuchel’s preference for Rudiger at Chelsea has also resulted in the transfer of Kurt Zouma to West Ham United, with the latter being a favorite of Lampard.
“Yes, this is true,” Tuchel told Sky Sports.
“At the beginning of last season, I wasn’t a favourite here, so there was an option and I was thinking about leaving and PSG was my number one target.
“It didn’t happen for these reasons and at the end of the day, he came here.”
