Chelsea player nominated for award after scoring 3 goals in 4 matches this season

Chelsea youngster Harvey Vale has been nominated for the Premier League 2 Player of the Month award after after a stunning start for the Chelsea development squad.

The 17-year-old attacking midfielder has started the season in stunning fashion, after scoring three goals in as many games for Andy Myers’ team.

Vale scored a brace for the development squad on the opening day 2-2 draw against Tottenham Hotspur, before another goal that helped Chelsea secure a point at home to Manchester United.

He showed his quality again in a 2-1 defeat to West Ham United, where he assisted the Blues first-half leveller.

The buzzing teenager also played a part in the 5-4 EFL Trophy penalty shoot-out victory over Exeter City.

There is a high optimism about Vale, and senior team boss Thomas Tuchel has noticed the youngster and has included him in Chelsea’s Champions League B list.
