Kurt Zouma sealed a move of £29.8m from Chelsea to West Ham.
Fresh off winning the Champions League and Super Cup with Chelsea, the 26-year-old swapped sides to join the East London club.
Zouma played a key role in helping West Ham beat Dinamo Zagreb 2-0 in their opening Group H game of the Europa League, as the Hammers defence looked solid with him at the back and kept a clean sheet in the process.
It was a fine debut performance from Zouma, and Hammers boss David Moyes was indeed pleased.
Moyes told the media in a press conference ahead of facing Manchester United: “I thought Kurt Zouma was very good, it looked as if it was a comfortable game for him.
“He’s been involved in European football for most of his career at a good level and certainly involved with Champions League winners last year so I hope that he can bring us some experience but [Thursday] I thought it looked very comfortable.”
Reacting to his performance, West Ham fans were also glad with how Zouma performed for them.
