Saul Niguez joined Chelsea on loan from Spanish champions Atletico Madrid on transfer deadline day and made his Chelsea debut against Aston Villa last Saturday.
However, Saul struggled on his Premier League debut for the Blues and had to be taken off at half-time by Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel.
Saul has revealed that Chelsea teammate Thiago Silva reassured and supported him after his difficult debut against Aston Villa last week.
In an interview with transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, Saul revealed: “After my poor performance in my first match (against Aston Villa), Thiago Silva in particular supported me a lot. ‘My first game with Chelsea was much worse, believe me and don’t worry’ he said.”
Silva had a Premier League debut to forget as he made a mistake and was at fault for a West Brom goal during a 3-3 draw at the start of last season.
