Chelsea fans displayed a large banner to appreciate 22 year old Chelsea midfielder Mason Mount during Chelsea’s 3-0 victory over Aston Villa on Saturday.

The Chelsea academy graduate has established himself as a key player in the team since his breakthrough season in 2019/20 under Frank Lampard.

The 100ft by 50ft overhead banner was displayed in the Matthew Harding Stand at Stamford Bridge during the game against Aston Villa and it displays Mount with a Champions League trophy and reads “The boy who had a dream”.

Jody Morris couldn’t have been more proud of what the fans did, having been part of Mount’s development from the academy up to making his senior team debut.

“Love it. Well done to all involved,” Jody Morris wrote on an Instagram story.
