Chelsea midfielder Jorginho has had the best ever year in his footballing career. The 29-year-old won everything across Europe, as he lifted the Champions League, European Cup with Italy and also the Super Cup.
Jorginho has now joined an elite group of just ten players to lift both the Champions League and European Cup in the same season. Following a spectacular season, the Chelsea star was named UEFA Men’s Player of the Year last month to cap off a stellar campaign.
Meanwhile, before Thomas Tuchel’s appointment, Jorginho had always been linked with an exit from the club, and his agent Joao Santos has now revealed that he could return to Italy in the coming years.
“He has a contract with Chelsea until 2023,” Joao Santos said.
“Obviously, it would be a dream for him to return to Italy, hopefully after winning the World Cup.
“We’ll have to see what the market looks like in a couple of years and what the other situations are.”
He also admitted Jorginho could have moved to Juventus when Maurizio Sarri was in charge at the time.
“In the past, when Maurizio Sarri was the coach, there was a possibility that Jorginho would come to Juventus,” he added.
“The Juventus director made an approach, it was a possibility.”
