Chelsea midfielder N’Golo Kante has endured a stop-start beginning to the new season due to injury.
The France international only returned from an injury when he came on at half-time against Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday, replacing Mason Mount.
Kante started the Carabao Cup game against Aston Villa on Wednesday night but was taken off at half-time, which prompted fears the midfielder could be injured.
Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel has allayed fears that Kante suffered another fitness setback after he was substituted at half-time against Aston Villa last night.
“For Mason and N’Golo it was clear that we share the game,” Tuchel said.
