Chelsea beat Aston Villa on penalties on Wednesday night at Stamford Bridge to progress to the fourth round of the Carabao Cup.

Chelsea goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga started off the season by being Chelsea’s hero as the Blues beat Villarreal on penalties in the UEFA Super Cup and he was at his best again on Wednesday night as the Blues beat Aston Villa on penalties.

Kepa has now beaten a record previously held by Chelsea legend Petr Cech.

Following his save in the penalty shootout against Aston Villa, Kepa now has the most penalty shootout saves in Chelsea history (7). Cech previously held the record with 6.
