Manchester City’s £100m signing Jack Grealish scored his first Champions League goal as Manchester City defeated RB Leipzig 6-3 in their Champions League opener on Wednesday.
Jack Grealish scored the 4th goal for City as he went past a Leipzig defender from the left side before hitting home a curling effort with his right foot.
Grealish revealed after the game that he was delighted with his goal and stated that he can beat any defender one v one.
He told BT Sport: “The ball came to me and when I’m in that position, running into the area, I’d back myself one on one against anyone. Luckily it paid off and I managed to hit the back of the net this time.
“I had a few in the first half that got blocked. But I’m delighted to get the goal.”
Chelsea play host to Manchester City on September 25, and Grealish will face a tough Chelsea defence with Reece James and Cesar Azpilicueta on the right side, and Antonio Rudiger if he decides to switch to the left side of our defence.
