According to reports, Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel could be without four key players for Saturday’s Premier League game against Aston Villa.
Romelu Lukaku, Kai Havertz and N’Golo Kante are doubts for this weekend’s game against Aston Villa due to fitness and illness concerns.
Kai Havertz joined up with his Germany team-mates for their training session on Tuesday after recovering from an illness.
Havertz lasted an hour in Germany’s World Cup qualifying win over Liechtenstein but picked up a ‘mild flu-like infection’ and missed his side’s defeat of Group J rivals Armenia.
Thomas Tuchel would have been worried about an apparent lack of fitness for Kai Havertz, with Chelsea to face Aston Villa in four days time.
However, Tuchel will be glad as Havertz has returned to full training with the rest of Hansi Flick’s squad in full training ahead of their clash with Iceland.
It’s yet to be seen if Lukaku would be fit for Villa clash, as he’d have to undergo a scan first. Kante will most likely miss the game while Reece James has been suspended after the red card against Liverpool.
