Ahead of Saturday’s Premier League game between Chelsea and Manchester City at Stamford Bridge, Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola has called Thomas Tuchel’s Chelsea team a long ball team.

Chelsea are European champions after beating Manchester City in the final of the Champions League last season, with Kai Havertz scoring the only goal of the game.

According to Guardiola, Chelsea beat Manchester City in the Champions League final because the Blues are better with long balls.

Guardiola said: “We played a great final. Unfortunately they were much better than us with the long balls and the second balls.”

Thomas Tuchel’s Chelsea beat Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City three times last season.
