PSG star Ander Herrera still has his eyes on the Premier League and has been following proceedings in the league.
Herrera has hailed the work Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel has done so far at the club. The former PSG boss has turned around the fortunes of the club in such a short time as the Blues went on to win the Champions League last season.
Managers tend to have their preferences for players, but Tuchel gave the Chelsea players an open arm to prove themselves to him.
Herrera has now hailed Tuchel for bringing back Antonio Rudiger and Marcos Alonso into the Chelsea mix, as the club were set to sell the duo under Frank Lampard.
Expressing his shock as to how Tuchel won the Champions League with Chelsea, Herrera told Marca: “I simply thought that this is football, that eight months before we lost the same final with him in the dugout.
“This showed that this game is a mystery, and no other sports can surprise you as much.
“Chelsea had Frank Lampard and players like Rudiger and Marcos Alonso who were practically not involved. Tuchel arrives and they play and make a big difference.
“Football is unpredictable, and there’s always the chance of a shock. This doesn’t happen in basketball for example where the same teams always win. That’s how I see it.”
