Inter Milan legend Diego Milito has criticised Romelu Lukaku for joining Chelsea during the summer just weeks after declaring his loyalty to Inter Milan.
Speaking in June to Dutch outlet VTM, Lukaku said: “Yes, I am staying.
“I’ve already had contact with the man who normally becomes our new manager. Maybe I shouldn’t say that yet… but it was a very positive conversation.
“There’s also the challenge of doing it again [winning the league with Inter]. I feel good at Inter.”
Milito is unhappy Lukaku opted to join Chelsea after declaring he would remain at Inter Milan.
Speaking to Gazzetta dello Sport, Milito said: “As for Lukaku, there is one thing you should never do: promise what you can’t deliver.
“It’s normal for a player to leave and go somewhere else, but the fans are disappointed for his declarations of loyalty before joining Chelsea.”
