Chelsea director Marina Granovskaia was instrumental in adding Romelu Lukaku and Saul Niguez to Thomas Tuchel’s Chelsea squad during the summer transfer window.
The Blues paid a club-record to sign Lukaku from Italian champions Inter Milan while also signing Saul Niguez from Atletico Madrid on loan on transfer deadline day.
Lukaku joined Chelsea on big wages and is earning around the same as Chelsea duo N’Golo Kante and Timo Werner, according to reports.
Daily Express claims the wages of Werner, Kante and Lukaku are causing problems for Granovskaia in her contract negotiations with Chelsea defender Antonio Rudiger.
Rudiger, who currently earns around £100,000 a week, reportedly wants to earn close to the wages of Chelsea trio Kante, Lukaku and Werner.
With his contract at the club running out in June 2022, Chelsea have little time to resolve Rudiger’s contract situation.
Chelsea reportedly offered Rudiger a contract of £140,000 a week but the German has rejected it as he reportedly wants the Blues to double his current wages.
Paris Saint-Germain, Real Madrid, Bayern Munich and Juventus are reportedly interested in signing Rudiger as a free agent and are monitoring his situation at Chelsea.
