This Chelsea player can’t stop scoring against Tottenham. Tuchel expected to start him

Marcos Alonso has been Chelsea’s first choice left wing-back this season ahead of Ben Chilwell and is expected to start against Tottenham Hotspur later today.

Alonso has started every match so far this season, curled home a sumptuous free-kick against Crystal Palace on the opening day and captained the side against Aston Villa.

While several fans are urging Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel to start Chilwell against Tottenham Hotspur, Alonso is expected to keep his place in the team due to his impressive record against Tottenham Hotspur.

Among the current players in the Chelsea team, Alonso has the most goals against Tottenham Hotspur.

The Spaniard scored twice, including an 88th-minute winner, in a 2-1 win at Spurs’ temporary home of Wembley in August 2017. He also scored what proved the winner in a 2-1 home win in February 2020.

Alonso or Chilwell, who should start against Tottenham Hotspur today?
