Chelsea defender defender Antonio Rudiger is in the final year of his contract, and he’s so far yet to agreed new terms with the club.
Rudiger’s current deal with Chelsea expires at the end of the 2021/22 season, and a lot of things have been said about the future of the 28-year-old centre-back.
Credible reporter Fabrizio Romano has revealed that Rudiger has not agreed on a new deal yet with the club but negotiations are ongoing.
It’s also confirmed that Rudiger wants an increment in his wages, and while there’s no agreement yet, the negotiations are ‘not over’ yet according to Romano.
Romano adds that the defender is ‘so happy’ with Thomas Tuchel and Chelsea despite the interest from Real Madrid, Bayern Munich and PSG.
Meanwhile, Bild’s Christian Falk has also reported something similar to that of Romano. He says the deal isn’t close to being agreed as negotiations are ongoing.
He also thrashed out reports claiming that Rudiger has already agreed a contract to join Real Madrid or Bayern Munich next summer, and says it is ‘not true’.
Falk dismissed rumours that Rudiger has received an offer of £400k-a-week wages from Bayern Munich, and tagged Marca and The Daily Mail in his tweet, who were believed to be the sources of the information that he claims is incorrect!
