A January transfer to German side Bayern Munich for Timo Werner is possible, according to Football Insider.

Bayern Munich are genuinely interested in signing Werner and are already working on signing the Chelsea striker.

Bayern Munich are reportedly in the market for a centre-forward who can provide cover and competition for Roman Lewandowski, who turned 33 last month.

Werner has struggled for game time this season following the arrival of Romelu Lukaku. He has had just nine minutes of action – as a sub – in the three Premier League since Lukaku joined Chelsea.

Bayern Munich head coach Julian Nagelsmann is a huge admirer of Werner and knows him well from their time together at RB Leipzig.

Werner has struggled to replicate his goalscoring form since joining Chelsea from RB Leipzig. He scored 12 goals and provided 15 assists from 52 matches in all competitions last season.
