Trevoh Chalobah’s goal in Chelsea’s 3-0 victory over Crystal Palace in our season opener has been named Chelsea’s Goal of the Month for August.

On his Premier League debut for the Blues, Chalobah responded to the cries of ‘shoot’ from the supporters inside Stamford Bridge by driving a low effort from 25 yards.

Chalobah’s goal was one of eight nominated for our August Goal of the Month award, but the voting became a three-way race.

Chalobah’s goal received 41 per cent of votes from Blues fans, followed by Kai Havertz’s looping header at Liverpool and Marcos Alonso’s free-kick opener against Palace, with 30 per cent and 19 per cent of the vote respectively.
