Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel has now confirmed reports that Chelsea midfielder Ross Barkley tried to leave the club during the summer transfer window.
The 27 year old midfielder tried to leave on loan but failed to get a move as clubs were unwilling to pay his £110,000 wages.
Tuchel admitted he was frustrated a quality player like Ross Barkley couldn’t find a club during the summer transfer window.
“He tried to go on loan again, to find a club, but it is not easy,” Tuchel said.
“The situation out there, the financial impact from corona to clubs abroad and clubs also within the country is huge. It’s not easy to find clubs who are able to invest.
“It’s hard to see people struggling and struggling with the situation. But the quality that Ross brings to the pitch could help a lot of clubs in Europe.”
