Thomas Tuchel led the Chelsea team to three massive wins against Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City in the final few weeks of last season.
Chelsea got a win in the league as the Blues came from a goal down to win the match 2-1. Chelsea got an FA Cup semi-final victory against City before recording a massive 1-0 win in the final of the Champions League.
With the two teams set to face each other this weekend again, Chelsea are being seen as favourites for this game.
Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel has tried to downplay last season’s results as he insists that the secret to his team’s success over Pep Guardiola were in little details.
Tuchel said in his press briefing: “It’s not between me and him, it’s not a tennis match or a chess match, it’s between our teams who compete against each other on a very high level.
“Honestly the last three games I see three 50/50 matches, before and during the matches. It could have been any outcome. Once you have 50/50 matches, little details decide it. Small situations can give you the advantage.
“I expect nothing else than a 50/50 match tomorrow. We want to fight to have the better outcome. We have done it a few times, but we know how much we suffered in those matches, and we will have to do that tomorrow.”
