Chelsea made two major moves in the transfer market this summer — the signing of Romelu Lukaku and also a loan deal for Saul Niguez.

It’s already a very star studded squad with depth in every department, and Chelsea didn’t back down with the addition of Saul.

The 26-year-old Spain international joined Chelsea on a season-long loan deal from Atletico Madrid on transfer deadline day, with the option to buy.

For Gary Neville, Saul Niguez isn’t just another player to compete for places, but he’s a top player with massive La Liga and Champions League experience.

“Saul is just another excellent player,” Neville told Sky Sports.

“He’s got massive experience at the top of La Liga, massive experience in the Champions League and at international level.”

With N’Golo Kante now susceptible to injuries, the signing of Saul Niguez is indeed a good one for Thomas Tuchel.
